November 17-22, 2013, Denver, Colorado
Many members of our team will be at SC13. We’ll be participating in several events at the conference:
- On Sunday, we’ll be at the 1st Workshop on Sustainable Software for Science: Practice and Experiences (WSSSPE), where Nancy Wilkins-Diehr will be a panelist representing part of a collection of papers in the “communities” area. We have a position paper titled “Science Gateways and the Importance of Sustainability” selected for that collection. The website for the workshop includes the full agenda.
- A Monday workshop from 1:00-5:00pm about a new 100G network connection from Miami to Sao Paulo. The workshop agenda is posted. The Applications section of the agenda will be an opportunity to discuss Science Gateways in a 100G context. In particular what it is today, where it’s going, and biggest challenges. The 100G project will be focused on Latin America, in particular Brazil.
