Kaitlin Thaney is a technologist, open advocate, and data enthusiast—working to make scientific research more efficient, collaborative, accessible, and usable. She has a keen interest in open science, data sharing and digital infrastructure, and works with policymakers, officials, institutions and researchers in a number of ways to help achieve that vision. She has previously worked for Digital Science and Creative Commons. Kaitlin also is a fellow at the Mozilla Science Lab, a founding member of the e-Infrastructure Leadership Council, a former program chair for the Strata Conference in London, and a member of the Board of Directors of DataKind, a non-profit committed to empowering a data-driven charity sector.
