Mark Miller is a PI in Integrative BioSciences at the San Diego Supercomputer Center. Mark’s work focuses on Information Technologies and software in support of Biological/BioMedical research. Before arriving at SDSC, he sampled from many areas of research, including phospholipid and steroid metabolism, eukayotic cell biology, heme enzyme structure:function relationships, and metabolic engineering. His current goal is to see how easy and flexible we can make access to computational resources in the context of a vibrant intellectual community. He has been PI on the Next Generation Biology Workbench, the Scripps Translational Science Institute, and the CIPRES science gateway for phylogenetics.
