Call for Papers: Special Issue on Digital Infrastructures for Cultural Heritage

The ACM Journal on Computing and Cultural Heritage call for papers on Digital Infrastructures for Cultural Heritage has a new deadline of April 30, 2016. As the intended audience includes both heritage researchers and professionals, and computer and information scientists, to be accepted papers will not only need to present innovative computer science content but also refer to a clear Cultural Heritage context where they have been, or are going to be, tested and evaluated. They should address a comprehensive framework – the infrastructure – rather than an individual application, unless the latter is the backbone of an infrastructure.

9th Gateway Computing Environments Workshop (GCE14)

We will be at the Supercomputing 2014 (SC14) conference in New Orleans, Louisiana. We’ll be hosting this half-day workshop at the conference on Friday, November 21, 2014. It will provide a means of exchanging ideas, building from the experiences of others and reducing the “time to science.” It will feature case studies and an opportunity to share common experiences.

ACM Web Science Conference 2014

Marlon Pierce will be presenting a poster at the ACM Web Science Conference (WebSci2014) to be held June 23-26, 2014, at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. Web Science studies the vast information network of people, communities, organizations, applications, and policies that shape and are shaped by the Web.
