Science Gateways Institute at the 42nd NOBCChE Conference


In September 2015, Dr. Linda Hayden attended the 42nd Annual National Organization for the Professional Advancement of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers (NOBCChE) Conference as a representative of the Science Gateways Institute. Dr. Hayden is the Director of Elizabeth City State University’s Center of Excellence in Remote Sensing Education and Research (CERSER) and leads the Science Gateways Institute workforce development efforts. 42nd Annual NOBCChE Meeting and STEM Weekend


NOBCChE’s 2015 annual conference will be September 21–26, 2015, at the Renaissance at Sea World in Orlando, Florida. The conference includes a STEM weekend on September 24–26 to engage students, parents, and teachers about science and college-readiness. June 30 is the deadline for submitting abstracts for an oral presentation or student travel grant.
