It’s Official! The SGCI launches on August 1, 2016

The National Science Foundation (NSF) announced today that the Science Gateways Community Institute (SGCI) has received a major award as one of two Scientific Software Innovation Institutes (S2I2). More details are available in the NSF’s official press release.

The SGCI is accepting applications for support services.

The 1st inaugural Gateways 2016 Conference (an expansion of the long-running Gateway Computing Environments workshop series) is scheduled for November 2-3 in San Diego. A Call for Participation requests short proposals to be submitted by Tuesday, September 6.

The NSF-sponsored Graduate Data Science Workshop will brought together 100 graduate students from diverse domain sciences and engineering with Data Scientists from industry and academia to discuss and collaborate on Big Data/Data Science challenges.

Broadening the Reach NSF Workshop, September 2014

Michael McLennan will be attending the September 4-5 workshop in Raleigh, NC, the third sponsored by ”Broadening the Reach: A Cyberinfrastructure Program for Non-Research-Intensive and EPSCoR Institutions.”
