Software Sustainability Institute launches a survey: Contribute your insights!

As part of the WSSSPE (Working on Sustainable Software for Science: Practice and Experience) community, the UK Software Sustainability Institute (SSI) at the University of Edinburgh set up a short survey to help define what the concept of “software sustainability” means to different people in the research community.

SC13: The Supercomputing Conference

Welcome to SC13

On November 17-22, many members of our team will be at SC13. We’ll be participating in several events at the conference including the 1st Workshop on Sustainable Software for Science: Practice and Experiences (WSSSPE), where Nancy Wilkins-Diehr will be a panelist representing part of a collection of papers in the “communities” area, including our own position paper. We will be at the IEEE Cluster 2013 conference in Indianapolis, Indiana. We’ll be hosting a Science Gateway Institute Workshop at the conference on September 27, 2013. The workshop organizers have some financial support available (for travel costs and conference registration fees) for those who do not have institutional support for attending the workshop.
