International RSE Leaders Workshop

The International RSE Leaders Workshop will take place at the Alan Turing Institute in London, England, January 30-31, 2018. Leaders of research software engineering groups and communities around the world are invited to apply to take part in the workshop. This workshop is organized by the UK RSE with input on the program from RSE leaders in at least five other countries.

The purpose of the workshop is to help each other improve access to software expertise in research by pooling knowledge, coordinating efforts, and establishing collaboration amongst wider networks. This is a small workshop for people who are running RSE groups or national networks or are in the process of setting them up. The workshop organizers are looking for participants with knowledge of, and the ability to influence, RSE provision in their country. They define RSE groups as teams of dedicated software developers working with researchers to provide tools, advice, collaboration, and training.
