CloudyCluster by Omnibond

Omnibond’s CloudyCluster provides public cloud-based HPC that looks like familiar HPC environments found in academia and in labs. It provides cloudlike capabilities with its metascheduler, CCQ, which provides elasticity based on the requirements of jobs submitted. Omnibond is developing an additional open-source project, CCQHub, that will enable cloud bursting to CloudyCluster or on-premise clusters based on configurable policies.

Omnibond and CloudyCluster can offer assistance to the science gateways community by:

  • Simplifying a Gateway’s ability to leverage HPC in the public cloud
  • Providing a collaboration partner and foundation to develop turnkey Gateway cloud appliances for distribution
  • Helping with planning for a sustainability model for Gateway cloud appliances
