About SGCI

We empower the science gateway community by connecting people and resources to accelerate discovery.

Science gateways are online interfaces that give researchers, educators, and students easy access to shared resources that are specific to a science discipline.

While the use of gateways can improve the productivity of researchers significantly, the process of developing, operating, and sustaining a gateway can prove challenging and time-consuming.

The Science Gateways Community Institute was funded by NSF in 2016 to provide services and resources that would fill the gap.

Here's how you can work with us.

Our Consulting Services are carefully tailored to meet the needs of your gateway project. We can help you turn your idea into reality, or enhance your existing gateway. Our team consists of experts in all areas of gateway development, operations, and long-term sustainability.

We offer a range of learning opportunities for the gateway community, from training events to a searchable resources and materials database.
