Parsl/funcX User Meeting: Oct. 27-28, 2021

The annual Parsl & funcX Fest user meeting will be on the morning of Wednesday, October 27 morning and the afternoon of Thursday, October 28, 2021 (CDT).

Parsl and funcX provide Python-based capabilities for scalable, reliable, remote computing. Both Parsl and funcX are often used to develop science gateways. funcX is a managed compute service (analogous to Globus) that allows users and developers to register Python functions using the cloud-hosted service and then dispatch those functions for execution on remote computing endpoints such as clouds, HPC systems, campus clusters, and even edge devices.

The Parsl & funcX Fest meeting includes 25+ lightning talks describing how Parsl and funcX are being used in various science domains as well as tech talks describing recent enhancements.
