NSF Announces Third OAC Software Institute

The third National Science Foundation Office of Advanced Cyberinfrastructure (OAC) Software Institute has been announced. The first two are the Science Gateways Community Institute (SGCI) and the Molecular Sciences Software Institute (MolSSI)

The new institute, which is called the Institute for Research and Innovation in Software for High-Energy Physics (IRIS-HEP), is a $25 million effort to tackle the unprecedented amount of data that will come from the High-Luminosity Hadron Collider, the world's most powerful particle accelerator.
