Back in July 2018, we announced that Thomas Johnson III, a student at Elizabeth City State University and 2018 SGCI intern, had been selected to compete in the inaugural Computing4Change competition at SC18.

In this recent post on the SC website, Johnson reflects on his experience at the competition, which he says was one of the best experiences he's had during his college career. In the article, Johnson also mentions his SGCI internship at the Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC). He says that his mentor, Ritu Arora, was "an excellent mentor to have."
