Abstract

The COVID-19 Science Gateway offers access to projections and key predictive models for COVID-19 mortality rates, supported by the UT COVID-19 Modeling Consortium. The consortium brings together scientists, social scientists, and engineers in developing models that advance the surveillance, forecasting and mitigation of this virus. Led by Professor Lauren Ancel Meyers, the consortium actively supports those on the front lines of treating and making decisions about this disease. The gateway also enables modeling and data management for researchers and scientists to run their tools and be able to create rapid simulation results. The predictive models, using social network analysis to understand other disease outbreaks, have been discussed in reports and publications since 2003. Since March 2020, the models around COVID-19 have been published more than 53 times in scientific journals and media outlets.
