April 2nd marks four years since the untimely death of James Taylor, Ralph S. O'Connor Professor of Biology and Computer Science at The Johns Hopkins University and one of the founders of the Galaxy project.

To honor James' memory we have established the JXTXFoundation for open science (https://jxtxfoundation.org/). Since its creation the foundation has enabled numerous students to attend key conferences in Genomics and Data Science.
