Gateways 2022 Wrap Up

By Sandra Gesing, Linda Hayden, and Claire Stirm

We were ecstatic to welcome the science gateway community back for an in-person annual Gateways conference!

Held in sunny San Diego, attendees listened to scientific talks on science gateway use cases, novel technical developments and visions for the science gateway space. The event took place downtown San Diego and attendees were able to listen to colleagues present while hearing distant roars of the Padres in the play-offs.Gateways 2022 Poster

The Gateway 2022 conference started online by offering virtual tutorials the two weeks before the conference. Attendees then joined in-person, October 18-20, with a total of 112 science gateway leads, managers, developers, faculty and students. The conference program featured 5 tutorials, 18 talks, 3 keynotes, 2 demos, and 1 faculty panel.
