AI / ML Experiments
Stitching Together Innovation with FABRIC Users
Date: September 17, 2024
Time: 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM ET
Join us on September 17, 2024, from 2-3 pm ET for an insightful webinar featuring Ben Formby as he delves into the world of AI/ML experiments, leveraging the cutting-edge capabilities of the FABRIC testbed. This session will provide a comprehensive overview of Ben’s AI/ML experiment involving medical images, exploring the motivations behind his work and why FABRIC was the testbed of choice.
Motivation: Ben Formby will begin by discussing the driving forces behind his AI/ML experiments, particularly the challenges and opportunities of working with medical images. He will highlight the growing importance of AI/ML in the healthcare sector and how innovative testbeds like FABRIC are crucial for pushing the boundaries of research.
Why FABRIC? Ben will explain why he selected FABRIC for his experiment, emphasizing the platform’s user-friendly interface and streamlined sign-up process. He will discuss how FABRIC’s unique features, such as its facility port connections and specialized resources, provided an edge over other testbeds, enabling more sophisticated and efficient experimentation.
Experiment Overview: In this segment, Ben will provide an in-depth overview of his AI/ML experiment, focusing on how he utilized FABRIC to work with medical image datasets. He will outline the methodology, the challenges addressed, and the outcomes achieved, demonstrating the practical benefits of using FABRIC in AI/ML research. This will give you a clear understanding of how FABRIC can enhance your own AI/ML experiments.
FABRIC’s Unique Features: Ben will highlight the distinct advantages FABRIC offers compared to other testbeds, such as its advanced networking capabilities, flexible resource allocation, and strong support system. These features not only facilitated the success of his experiment but also positioned FABRIC as an invaluable tool for researchers in the AI/ML domain.
Enabling Future Research: The webinar will conclude with a discussion on how FABRIC can assist other researchers in overcoming barriers to entry in AI/ML experiments. Ben will share insights on the comprehensive support provided by FABRIC and how its resources can accelerate innovation in AI/ML research.
The presentation will be followed by a 15-minute open Q&A session, offering attendees the opportunity to engage directly with Ben Formby and gain further insights into the potential of FABRIC for AI/ML research.
