The National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign provides supercomputing and advanced digital resources for the nation's science enterprise. The Assistant Cybersecurity Compliance and Policy Specialist works within the Integrated Cyberinfrastructure Directorate, responsible for operating NCSA's cyberinfrastructure and that of its major project offices. This position sits within the Cybersecurity Division and will assist with developing, enforcing, and aligning cybersecurity policies for NCSA. The Cybersecurity Compliance and Policy Specialist will develop, enforce, and align cybersecurity policies for NCSA. The Senior Cybersecurity Compliance and Policy Specialist will develop, enforce, and align cybersecurity policies for NCSA, as well as mentor the junior level policy specialists. The Lead Cybersecurity Compliance and Policy Specialist will manage cyber security policies and processes, ensure compliance, and manage cyber security risks. In addition, the Lead Cybersecurity Compliance and Policy Specialist will act as a liaison to external project offices, and help NCSA advance the strategic goals of organization.

 

Appointment Information

This is a 100% full-time Civil Service 5010 - Business/Administrative Associate position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after 6/16/2023. Salary and title is commensurate with experience, starting at $55,000.
