BOINC, an SGCI partner, has teamed up with TACC to bring its open-source software platform for volunteer computing and client-server architecture to researchers using TACC resources. The TACC-2-BOINC project aims to grow the promising mode of distributed computing offered by BOINC.

The project team behind TACC-2-BOINC includes Thomas Johnson, a 2018 SGCI Summer intern. Johnson was also recently selected to participate in the Computing4Change competition at SC18.
